Alpha

Occurring
Every Thursday at for 2 hours
Venue
St Peter's
Address
Windsor Street Chertsey Guildford, KT16 8AS, United Kingdom

People from all walks of life—whether you’re curious about faith or simply looking for a place to connect—are warmly invited to join our 10-week Alpha course.

Each weekly session begins with a shared meal, a chance to relax, and an opportunity to get to know one another. After that, we watch a short video that introduces a faith-related topic. These Alpha episodes are designed to spark meaningful conversations—they’re about thirty minutes long and explore some of life’s big questions, such as Who is Jesus?, How can we have faith?, and How does God guide us?

We then move into small, informal groups to chat about what we’ve just seen. It’s a welcoming, open, and judgment-free space where you can share your thoughts—or simply listen. There’s never any pressure, just an invitation to explore, ask questions, and enjoy honest conversation.

We’d love to have you with us.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Chertsey is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Guildford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Ron Howell at [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor . If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
