Simply go to wherever you get your apps and download the CoE app (for example, the iphone AppStore, or for android phones try Google Play. Easy! If in doubt, ask someone else to get the app onto your phone for you - it only takes 60 seconds. You'll be surprised how easy it is to download and use. Every day features a short passage from the Bible, a short reflection, response and a short prayer. It's helpful for all who want to draw nearer to God.
We are a very mixed group of around 12 people of all ages from 7 local churches who meet weekly via Zoom for bible study, prayer and fellowship. Most weeks we have around 5 - 9 attending. We tend to study one book at a time; in the past year we have focused on the gospel of John, the epistle to the Philippians, and reflections from various authors for Advent and for Lent. It's informal, with leadership shared between us, yet powerfully blessed and guided by the Holy Spirit.To join the group (or just to try us out) simply email helen@howieassoc.co.uk and I'll send you the Zoom link.
NOTICE ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING The Annual Parochial Church Meeting for the combined parish of Holy Trinity, Horsley and St. Francis, Byrness will be held on Wednesday, 17th April at Elsdon Village Hall at 7.00 pm. The meeting is open to members of the congregation of the combined parish and will include reports on the church and the grounds of Holy Trinity and St. Francis.
