Anglican congregation in Drammen

Welcome to the Anglican congregation in Drammen.

We have been meeting as a fellowship for over 60 years.  As well as our connection with St Edmund’s Anglican Church in Oslo, we have a close relationship with the Church of Norway locally and appreciate their generous cooperation under the Porvoo Agreement, including use of Bragernes Church.

We meet regularly during the year for a service of Holy Communion followed by refreshments and conversation as well as for an annual carol service.

The Anglican Chaplaincy in Norway is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Chaplaincy Safeguarding Officer contactable at [email protected]. The Diocese in Europe’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our safeguarding officer. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

All welcome to join this Anglican service with the Drammen Ladies' Guild, which follows straight after Midday Prayers for Peace in Norwegian, and for fellowship and refreshments in the hall afterwards.

For nearly 60 years the Drammen Ladies' Fellowship has offered fellowship and prayer for English-speakers in the Drammen region. We usually meet on a Thursday at 12 Noon for Holy Communion followed by a shared lunch. All welcome.
