We will gather today between noon and three o’clock, the hours during which Jesus hung on the cross. The service is shaped around the fact that on the cross Jesus gave himself up in love for the world. Through his self-giving sacrifice he reconciled humanity to God. His death accomplished once for all what humanity could not achieve for itself. Through the cross, we are forgiven, restored in relationship with God.
