If you are familiar with the Chronicles of Narnia, you likely remember the beautiful relationship between Lucy and Aslan. Despite his immense power, Aslan is incredibly gentle. In this week’s continuation of our Fruit of the Spirit series, Revd. Mark Fletcher explores the virtue of Gentleness. In a culture often driven by self-promotion and the mantra to "move fast and break things," gentleness is frequently mistaken for weakness.
However, Mark challenges us to view it differently. Drawing from 1 Peter 3, he argues that true gentleness is actually "power under control"—an emotional intelligence that refuses to be careless with the hearts of others.
How can we cultivate this "gentle strength" in our relationships, our workplaces, and our church? How can we stand firm in our faith while treating others with the profound respect that God shows us?
