The local Chamber Music Festival debut of "Mitnor Remains" for string quartet, delighted the St Mary's audience. Composed by Michael Greenway - a Buckfastleigh composer, pianist, violinist, and songwriter. (Note: Mitnor Cave is situated near the village!)
To a packed audience in the Church, all were appreciative and some overwhelmed, in both the venue and the music.
Holne village is now looking forward to the next community event in the Church - a concert with David Jaggs, a local professional guitarist.
(David has his own record label and is best known for his highly successful range of eight “easy listening” albums which have sold well in excess of 100,000 copies.)
