Carol Service on 21st December

On 21st December regular churchgoers and other villagers of all ages gathered in the beautifully decorated church (greenery with red baubles and five candles on each window sill).  The church olive wood nativity, brought back some years ago by a group who had visited Bethlehem, was gradually added to during the carols until all the characters in that first Christmas were gathered.  The singing was lovely and the hot spiced apple juice and other drinks, stollen bites and chocolate cookies all made for a lovely time of exchanging news and greetings.
