St Mark's Wimbledon

Located in Wimbledon Town Centre, St Mark’s is an inclusive community bringing together individuals across all ages, experiences, and viewpoints. We believe in a church rooted in the Bible and guided by the Holy Spirit. We also recognise the need to share the message of Jesus in ways that resonate with each generation.

I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3.18-19

We consider it our mission to serve and teach all persons the deep and divine love of Jesus Christ.

St Mark’s is committed to fostering a supportive environment for everyone. We actively work to ensure that all persons feel valued irrespective of age, ability, economic situation, education, ethnicity, family circumstance, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexual orientation. To us, an inclusive church celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate. We believe that diversity improves communities, and our selves.

As a Church of England congregation we are part of the Diocese of Southwark, and we commit to confident, compassionate and creative expression of our faith.

So whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or looking for a place to belong, you are welcome here at St Mark’s Wimbledon.

Safeguarding

Our church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Safeguarding Officer (SO). Our Diocese of Southwark’s safeguarding pages contain links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our SO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the SO, Sandy Blewitt-Reynolds on [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding team ([email protected], 0207 939 9441). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
