Dear All
Sorry to have missed the last breakfast but I was away sailing the 7 seas - well one anyway. I had a lovely time in the Canary Islands and called at Madeira, Spain and Portugal also. We had to miss the last port and scurry back to the UK a day early as a storm was rapidly approaching the Bay of Biscay, so it was prudent to give that a miss!

Thank you to James for leading the October meeting. I gather you had a good talk which I was sorry to miss.

For our November meeting we are welcoming John Puddy who will be telling us all about the rescue of the steamship Freshspring, which you will probably have seen tied up at Bideford. I have been aboard a couple of times and seen round the cabins, bridge, engine room and so on.
It looks like it is going to be a really interesting talk. Please do your best to come along, and don't forget to bring a friend.

The November Men's Breakfast will be on SATURDAY 1ST NOVEMBER AT 9 A.M. AT THE OLD BARN BICKINGTON. COST £8.

Please do your best to join us. Please let me know by WEDNESDAY 29TH OCTOBER whether or not you will be joining us.

I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Best wishes

John
