Every February, people across the UK take part in Show the Love, creating and sharing green hearts with their local leaders to celebrate what they cherish — and to speak up for what they want to protect.
At its heart, Show the Love is a simple but powerful act of care and leadership. It’s grounded in pride for our communities, love for the places we call home, and hope for the future we’re shaping for our children.
During this morning’s service, we spent time writing on green hearts what we love about our parish of Heartsease, and what we hope our local representatives will carry with them as they help shape government policy on climate and biodiversity.
We gathered these prayers together, committing them to God, and created a collage to share with our local Norwich City Council councillors — Adam, Claire and Matthew — and our MP, Alice Macdonald, particularly in light of the funding recently allocated to our neighbourhood.
If you’d like to #ShowTheLove, the campaign runs throughout February — find out more HERE.
