Notice is hereby given that

The Church Council and North Devon District Council

will be conducting a

SAFETY INSPECTION of MEMORIALS

in the Upper and Lower Churchyards

during July, August and September 2025

Where testing shows that a headstone is unstable it will be temporarily supported to enable repairs to be undertaken.

Where testing shows that a headstone is unsafe it will be laid flat ensuring that the inscriptions are still visible.

We will endeavor to contact the families to see if these headstones can be reset. If this is not possible they will remain laid flat as this is the safest option.
