Our Building

St. Giles is listed Grade II*

Whilst St. Giles is a medieval building with no insulation, we have underpew heating for warm services.

We are fortunate to have some lovely stained glass windows in St. Giles

Bell Ringing

St. Giles is available for small recitals and welcomes musicians and choirs. Please contact us if you would like more information.

St. Giles organ was installed in 1887. It is a plain pipe organ, but with a beautiful tone and has recently been totally refurbished and relocated to the main nave following specialist advice.

St Giles is open during daylight hours

St Giles is open during daylight hours and the Lady Chapel in the south aisle is reserved for private prayer and contemplation - all are welcome within its walls.


Other Features

St Giles is available for hire for social and community groups. Activities such as exhibitions & displays, small recitals/choir practice, art groups, history groups, parent & toddler sessions etc., can all be held in our church. Facilities include award-winning lighting, music/CD system, accessible toilet and small servery equipped for light refreshments. All enquiries welcome - please use the 'Get in Touch' tag.
