Holy Rosary

Lead by Members of the Society of Our Lady of Walsingham, we pray the Holy Rosary every Saturday in the Lady Chapel after the 9.30am Mass. Rosary has been a beloved prayer for many Christians for many centuries now. It is a slow, meditative prayer during which we contemplate the life-events and -mysteries of Our Lord Jesus. Prayer cards are made available for all to use, so you can join in confidently even if you do not know the Rosary. All are welcome.

At our Sunday worship, we would normally sing traditional hymns, have a choir, and use incense. However, because of COVID restrictions, for the time being Sunday mass is more simple and shorter. Sermon is preached, and Holy Communion is distributed.
Evensong and Benediction

Evensong according to the Book of Common Prayer (traditional language, readings and Psalms from the King James Bible) and Benediction (short prayers before and blessing with the Blessed Sacrament). Incense is used, psalms and hymns are sung. No organ. This service has a very contemplative, intimate atmosphere. A wonderful, peaceful ending to the day.

Anointing - Healing Mass

Eucharistic Adoration - A morning with Jesus

Quiet, reflective time of prayer, worship, adoration. Come and spend a few minutes or a few hours in Jesus' presence who truly dwells amongst us in the Most Holy Eucharist. The Blessed Sacrament is placed on a small throne on the Altar and all are welcome to spend as little or as much time they can in His presence.

After the prayer of the Rosary all are welcome to stay for moments of fellowship. Cake and tea/coffee is served normally - however this is suspended during COVID restrictions. We discuss questions about our Christian faith, the lives of Mary and the Saints, the teaching of the Church, and other topics that we find important or interesting. All are welcome to participate or simply to observe, and to join/leave as their time allows.
Bible Group

A group open for all (16 and over) where we discuss and learn together about our Christian faith. Questions and contributions are encouraged - or simply come and listen to others. Topics range from the articles of the Creed to moral and biblical-historical questions.
Lent: Food & Faith

Open to all. We meet to share a simple, lenten meal (soup and bread), to pray together, and to talk about some typical lenten Gospels (Jesus' temptation, Transfiguration, etc.).
