Liturgy of the Palms and Procession

Occurring
for 1 hour, 10 mins
Venue
Settle: Holy Ascension
Address
Church Street Settle, BD24 9JA, United Kingdom

Today, we enter into Holy Week with palm branches, a reflective sermon, and communion at the altar. Our procession starts at Holy Ascension Church and we process to St Alkelda's Church at Giggleswick. The procession reminds us of Jesus’ entry into the Jerusalem where everyone shouted “Hosanna” – the same voices who later cried “Crucify”.

Settle: Holy Ascension

We are an active church reaching out to the community with regular services, groups and events.  A place for everyone with Christ at the centre.  Find out more about us on our page.  Welcome!

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Settle: Holy Ascension is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO https://castlebergchurches.uk/safeguarding/ or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor https://www.leeds.anglican.org/who-we-are/safeguarding2/

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
