St Mary's Church, Redlynch

Welcome to St Mary’s Church, Redlynch

For those who live in or near the parish of Redlynch in Wiltshire, the image of the church will be instantly recognisable as our Parish Church. It is situated in Lover, a village made famous in recent years by the re-launch of its famous Valentine Post featured on radio and television.

This building was consecrated in 1837 and over the years since then, many thousands of people have been through its doors, some of whom now lie at peace in its churchyard. More information about its history and the wildlife found in the surrounding churchyard is available on our website – there is a link below.

"The parish of Redlynch: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Salisbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
