West Grimstead: St Johns Church
St. John’s is well over 700 years old with a beautiful new stained glass window that was commissioned and installed in December 1996 and dedicated at the village carol service that year. It is called The Tree of Life and can be seen in the south east aisle of the church.
You'll receive a warm welcome at any of our services or events and visiting at other times can always be arranged with our Church Wardens Liz and Graham.
In Edward Hutton’s “Highways and Byways of Wiltshire” (1917) we find the words ‘At West Grimstead there is a little old church, very reverent and homely and still. The whole humble building is worth a close and loving inspection, and is a delight on a lonely road’.

East Grimstead: Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity was built in 1857 on the site of a Saxon church and is a joint parish with St Mary's, West Dean. It is also part of the Clarendon Team of churches which extends westwards to Alderbury, northwards to Winterslow and southwards to Whiteparish. We are in the Diocese of Salisbury.
Our beautiful church nestles on the southern edge of East Grimstead on the corner of Dean Road. It seats c 50 people and is available for weddings, funerals and baptisms. We would love to welcome you whether you are living or working in the village or just passing by.
Holy Trinity is currently facing an uncertain future and possible closure unless significant funds are raised in 2025 for repairs and running costs. Please see 'News' and 'What's On' for further information about our fundraising campaign and events.

Pitton: St Peter's
We are delighted that you are looking at our St Peter's web page and we hope that you might come and visit us in the flesh.
Our Church is open throughout daylight hours and we wait to meet you! We have recently enlarged our usable gathering space at the back of church and are thrilled with the new layout. Come and See! We believe that the church is alive and well through its people and through the service that we offer to our community. Please email us if you need any support. Our churchyard is a haven for all sorts of species and we manage and maintain it as an environmentally sensitive and special space.
Our Clarendon Team ministers provide Sunday services at 11am weekly and you can access these via the ClarendonCofE.org website.
We strongly believe that our church MUST be outward looking and so we seek to support the poor and the needy. We choose three different charities a year and we tithe 10% of our income to these in equal proportions. In 2025, these are Salisbury Salvation Army, a Methodist charity called The Fund for Human Need and TearFund. In addition we take a weekly collection of food for the Trussell Trust. The box for these donations is in the church porch. We also have recycliing boxes in the porch for many items INCLUDING PILL BLISTER PACKS!
The internet does not do us justice but our people do! We welcome all ages to our church and provide a special session for children on the fourth Sunday of every month at our All Age Family Service. On alternate months we sometimes hold an Iona Service. We call our children's group the PathFinders. We also offer a very popular Tea and Chatter on Tuesday afternoons from 3 to 4.30pm with includes home made cake!
Please come and meet us, you will be assured of a warm welcome!
