Fun with Christingles

2nd Bulford St Leonard's Scouts (Adventure Scouts, Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, and Squirrels) and families and friends joined us for an uplifting Christingle Service on Sunday 30 November 2025 - also Advent Sunday!

The sun shone brightly as the Scouts paraded their Flags and Banners into the Church and out again at the end of the Service.

Rev Philip Bromiley (also our Team Rector) led the Service with humour, helping the children to bring together their understanding of Christingles:  the orange represents the Earth which God made; the red ribbon goes all around the Earth and represents the blood Jesus shed for us - Philip liked the idea of Jesus' arms around the world too; the four cocktail sticks point North, South, East and West to the corners of the Earth and represent the four seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter; the fruit and sweets represent the fruits of the earth – and also the 12 disciples; the candle stands for Jesus, light of the world and like us only shows its light when it is lit.

We had super singing a enjoyed cake and other refreshments together afterwards.  Huge thanks to everybody who made it possible and took part.
