The Open Gardens afternoon on Sunday 6th July was very well attended. It was enjoyed by many in the village and by local visitors. 

A huge thanks to all the people who opened their gardens to the public: Trevor & Liz Long, Sue & Francis Taylor, Annabel & Nick Legh, Caroline & Mike Ash, Andrea & Alan Walker, Prue & Barker Castle, Lady Cobham and Tony Clarke representing Faulston Barns. 

We had much positive feedback from visitors who enjoyed the variety of gardens and were made to feel welcome by the owners. Another huge thank you to all the people involved in serving the teas, making cakes, as well as the sign makers, raffle ticket sellers and the car parking stewards. Without all those volunteers ’behind the scenes’ these events wouldn’t happen! 

The event made £1,558.27 which is a great addition to The Roof Appeal.
