Beginning at St Margaret of Antioch Chilmark, we walk over to All Saints, Fonthill Bishop through Ridge and the Fonthill Estate. And then to St John the Baptist Hindon, via Berwick St Leonard. For those who like hills, you could join us for the walk from Hindon to Holy Trinity Fonthill Gifford and then onwards to St John the Baptist Tisbury. It’s a short but lively clamber up and over to St James Ansty before the final hill to St Peter’s Swallowcliffe. I hope to say Morning Prayer at Chilmark and Evening Prayer at Swallowcliffe, so if you just wish to join us for those, you would be most welcome. Regretfully, All Saints Chicklade has been deemed too dangerous to advertise as participants because of the A303, but I do intend to pay a sneaky visit there too. 

This is Jo’s approximate timetable – feel free to join at any point, even if only for refreshments.

8.00 am Chilmark – short Morning prayer. 2 ¾ miles via Ridge to arrive at

9.30 am Fonthill Bishop ( pause ) then ¾ mile over fields to arrive at

10.00 am Berwick St Leonard before continuing 1 ¼ miles to arrive at

10.45 am Hindon St John the Baptist for a quick coffee stop. Then 2 ¼ miles up and over via Greenwich and Stop Street to

12.45 pm Holy Trinity Fonthill Gifford stopping for a picnic (or possibly a cheeky pint) before walking a further 2 ¼ miles to arrive at

2.30 pm St John the Baptist Tisbury for another short break. It’s a roundabout route over the hills to arrive at

4.30 pm St James Ansty and a quick hop over to arrive for evensong at

5.15pm at St Peter’s Swallowcliffe.
