St John the Baptist is situated in the heart of the village of Pewsey. Famed for its annual carnival, Pewsey is a vibrant village with a strong sense of community. St. John’s aims to bless that community in all its activities, and has a friendly welcoming congregation of all ages with a variety of different services throughout each month.
The 1st Sunday has a traditional morning Communion Service at 9.30 am, while the evening offers Sunday@6 – informal and lively praise & worship followed by refreshments.
The 2nd Sunday brings:
- morning prayer or communion some months
- informal Café Church a fun interactive all age service in cafe format, at 4.30 pm followed by refreshments so everyone can go home having had a good tea / supper.
The 3rd Sunday we sometimes have a Communion Service or Morning Prayer
The 4th Sunday is Outdoor Church [previously called Muddy Church] – a ‘Wander and a wonder’ nearby for all ages and walking abilities.
As the largest building in the team, St. John’s is often the centre for children’s activities such as holiday clubs and fun-days and for our Youth Group. For more info visit:
