You are very welcome at our Advent and Christmas services and events – bring your family and friends or come along on your own. Whether it will be your first time at church or you have been before, we look forward to welcoming you!

You will always be welcome to our 10.30am service at our St John's Site. This is an informal service, with groups for children aged from 3-18 running on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays. The services take different formats across the month, but normally follow a pattern of: Morning Worship (1st Sunday) Holy Communion (2nd and 4th Sundays) Connect - Intergenerational Worship (3rd Sunday)

Instant Nativity

for 1 hour, 15 mins

Our Intergenerational Service, Connect, will, in December, take the form of an Instant, Interactive Nativity. Come and join the fun! No costumes needed; we will be making headgear to represent our characters. Breakfast is served before the service, from 10.15am.

Carols by Candlelight

For many of us, Christmas begins with the carol service. Come and enjoy singing your favourite carols, and hear again the wonderful story of the birth of Jesus Christ for us. Stay behind at the end for mince pies, mulled wine or coffee and tea.

Crib Service

This is your opportunity to dress up (children and adults!) and place yourself in the nativity story. A short, interactive service for all the family on Christmas Eve. Don't spend money on a costume - we have plenty! Refreshments will be served after the service.

Midnight Communion

This is the service for those who seek a quiet place of reflection and prayer in the midst of the busyness of the season! Come to sing well-known carols, to reflect on familiar words from John's gospel and to share together the first Communion of Christmas Day.
