Meet 11am St. Philip & St. James Church, Upnor ME2 4UX

Our April walk promises to be really great with Spring all around us. Do join us for our Upnor, Islingham Farm and Beacon Hill (downwards) walk, meeting friends, and enjoying some tasty treats afterwards. This walk is generally on asphalt paths, even though we are definitely out of town.

The 3 mile walk starts outside St. Philip and St. James church, Upnor and walks on mainly quiet roads and paths. We cross the dual carriageway using the high footbridge, go through Wainscott, to Islingham Farm, where we hope to see new-born lambs. We climb back on a firm path to the top of Upchat Road, then descend Beacon Hill ending with hot or cold drinks, and tasty treats back at Upnor church. The shorter (2 mile) walk is around the village and shoreline of Upnor. We all return together for the refreshments.

Please note, when leaving the church westward, there is a verge with a footpath only in places as far as Frog Island pond, so please take extra care here. The walk involves some climb and descent.

Upnor: St Philip & St James

You are welcome to join us for Sunday services of worship at 8.30am. (1st, 3rd Sundays are Holy Communion with 1st Book of Common Prayer(BCP); 2nd & 4th Sundays Morning Prayer). 5th Sundays are Holy Communion and alternate between our churches (usually Frindsbury colder months, Upnor warmer months). This information will be updated on this website and on our church website.

You will find details of our regular events on these pages. Do email for more information.
