We place safeguarding at the heart of everything that we do in the parish of Empshott. It is important to us that we look out for and nurture the most vulnerable within our community. We try to act in a way that is inclusive towards all members of our parish and protects those who may need it.
All of our youth and group leaders are DBS checked, as well as those with positions of responsibility in our churches. We aim to keep our PCC members fully up to date in their safeguarding training.
We abide by the Diocesan Safeguarding Policy and Procedures and have formally adopted the House of Bishops safeguarding policy, ‘Promoting a safer church’. We use the Parish Safeguarding Dashboard and our Parish Safeguarding Officer reports to every PCC meeting.
