Farnham: St Oswald

A very warm welcome to St Oswald's Church, Farnham.

For more than 900 years, St Oswald's has stood at the heart of our village as a place of worship, prayer and community. Whether you are joining us for a service, visiting to explore our beautiful historic church, marking a special occasion, or simply looking for a peaceful place to sit and reflect, you are always warmly welcome.

St Oswald's is a Grade I listed church with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. Over the centuries it has grown and changed, and today combines its Norman origins with later medieval additions and a Victorian restoration by the renowned architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. Inside you will find a church that is both beautiful and peaceful, offering a quiet sanctuary away from the busyness of everyday life.

As part of the Lower Ure Churches Benefice, we are committed to sharing God's love through worship, friendship and service. We are a welcoming congregation where everyone is valued, whether you are a lifelong churchgoer, exploring faith for the first time, or simply curious to know more.

We hold regular services throughout the month and would be delighted to welcome you. The church is also open for visitors and private prayer whenever possible, and we encourage you to spend a little time enjoying the beauty, history and tranquillity of this special place.

If you would like to arrange a baptism, wedding or funeral, or simply have a question about the church or our services, please do get in touch. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to St Oswald's Church.
