St Thomas New Marske
WELCOME to ST THOMAS’ CHURCH NEW MARSKE
St Thomas Church is a place where you can:
Worship God... pray for peace... find forgiveness... experience healing... sing joyfully... weep quietly... belong to a community... discover purpose... encounter Jesus... and a whole lot more…
Much of this happens on Sunday and Thursday mornings, at our main weekly acts of worship. Each Sunday we have a 9.00am service of Holy Communion with songs and hymns, and each Thursday morning at 10.00am we have a quiet service of Holy Communion which includes a sermon on a topical theme. After the Sunday service, you can grab a cup of coffee or tea in the church hall. Children & young people are most welcome at both services.
St Thomas is far from being a one day of the week church.
From Monday to Saturday, there are a number of different events or groups that you could enjoy being involved in. These include the Mothers Union, Ladies Fellowship, Boys Brigade, Toms Tots Toddler Group, and the Tuesday morning Pop In.
It all depends what you are looking, but most include some form of fellowship, friendship, discussion and prayer.
You can find out more by visiting the church Facebook page.

Safeguarding
Our parish of New Marske: St Thomas is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Joanne Brownbridge ([email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Rob Marshall (01904 699509 / 07914 668907). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
