St Mary Willesden

We’ve been the heart of Willesden since 938 AD, when King Athelstan first founded our parish church. For over a thousand years, people from all walks of life have gathered here, most famously to visit the historic shrine of the Black Madonna of Willesden. Whether you’re drawn by our deep medieval history, coming as a pilgrim, or simply looking for a peaceful, welcoming community, we’re so glad you found us.

Safeguarding

Our parish of St Mary Willesden is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).

Our Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Lucky Enekeme (‭07932 386858‬) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor on the link below.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
