St Lukes is a small church built in the 1920s. It sadly became derelict in 1974 and stood unused and unloved until 1988 when, because of intensive local housing development, it was re-opened. St Luke's is now a thriving, lively church, worshipping in an inclusive modern catholic tradition. We have a wide age range of worshippers with children and families being especially welcome and welcomed. We are particularly proud of our excellent congregational singing and warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Said Mass
A quiet said Mass usually in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. The Book of Common Prayer is used on the 1st Sunday of each month.
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for ½ hour
Book of Common Prayer Common Worship
Sung Parish Mass
Our main act of Sunday worship. A sung Mass with singing supported by our organist and small group of singers. The Common Worship Lectionary and Liturgy is used and a sermon is preached. Baptisms are occasionally celebrated during this service.
Every Sunday at 10:30 AM for 1½ hours
Family Friendly Sunday School Refreshments Incense Common Worship
A short service of Compline (Night Prayer) using the 1928 Prayer Book, plainsong psalms and office hymn. The service is by candlelight in either the Blessed Sacrament or Memorial Chapel. The Blessed Sacrament is usually exposed.
Every first Sunday at 8:00 PM for ½ hour


Said Mass
A quiet celebration of the Eucharist usually in the Blessed sacrament Chapel.
Every Tuesday at 7:30 PM for ½ hour
Common Worship


Said Mass
A quiet celebration of the Eucharist in the main body of the church. This Mass is usually attended by 15-20 people and we join together for coffee and a chat afterwards in the Red Lion Public House directly opposite the church. On the 2nd Wednesday of each month. there is an opportunity for anointing, laying on of hands and prayer for healing during the Mass.

St Luke : Hailsham Rd/Rattle Rd, Stone Cross, East Sussex, BN24 5EB - The church is situated at the main crossroads (traffic lights) in the centre of Stone Cross. The car park entrance is in Rattle Road at the junction with Peelings Lane.
