St Mary's
‘Sharing God’s love with those around us.’
St Mary's Church stands at the heart of the village and community of Wreay in north Cumberland. It was designed and funded by a local landowner, Sarah Losh, in 1842 and is based on the basilica churches that she had seen in northern Italy. It is a unique building of national importance and welcomes visitors every day from across the country and abroad as well as providing a peaceful focus for the local community. It is open to all from 10am to 4pm every day.
There are services every Sunday at 11am when you will be welcomed warmly. The exceptional quality and special atmosphere of St Mary's attracts a congregation that have an enquiring and open mind, always ready to learn and explore God's message.
