If you would like to take part, leaflets giving instructions of the essential items needed to fill the boxes are available in all the churches. A short checklist is attached below. Please follow the instructions so that your box will pass custom regulations. When Blythswood checks the boxes, they add a bible story book for children, a story of a life transformed by Jesus for teenagers and a calendar with bible verses for adults. Please add a donation towards transport costs as it costs about £7,000 to send one trailer load of shoeboxes to Eastern Europe.Last year we sent 36 shoeboxes, could we do that again this year or even better that?! The boxes need to be with me by November 7th at the latest. If you are not able to fill a box, you can still donate by gifting two shoeboxes for £28 at onlineshoebox.org. Or you can donate individual items to me to use in part filled boxes. If you have any questions, please give me a ring on 01934 732394. You can bring the filled boxes to church, Women’s Fellowship on the (7th October or 4th November), or give them to anyone who you know goes to church or to me at Shortland, Badgworth.
