RINGING ‘FULL CIRCLE’ IN CROOK PEAK
Bell ringing in Crook Peak is thriving and increasingly popular, since in August 2021 the five bells of St. Congar’s, Badgworth were rehung after ten years in storage, awaiting restoration.
The local bellringing community continue to offer invaluable assistance teaching new ringers and with their support and encouragement a brand new band has been formed at St. Congar’s. We merry band ring twice a week every Thursday. In the mornings for beginners and improvers and our regular evening practice.
On the last Thursday of the month we transfer our practices to St. Andrew’s, Compton Bishop for a change of scene and the chance to ring on six bells.
Recently the four bells at St. John’s, Biddisham have also been restored and are now being rung regularly for services and on the second Wednesday of every month for practices.
