Tunstall and Bredgar

Our rural group of parishes comprises 7 churches, each of which is unique and set in beautiful surroundings. We offer a variety of worship styles around the benefice and you are assured of a warm welcome.

We enjoy excellent relationships with our local schools and have strong links with the town of Sittingbourne. Work in the community, both in terms of charitable giving and practical involvement, is a vital part of the life of our church communities.

Each of our buildings offers an ideal rural village setting for weddings and christenings and our location is close to A2 reception venues. Access by road is good and Sittingbourne has a very good rail service.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO (see the page for the parish concerned) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor: https://www.canterburydiocese.org/safeguarding/.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
