The Heart of Eden Benefice covers a wide area including scattered villages and hamlets and the main town of Appleby. It encompasses a range of parishes with scenic villages all located in an area of Cumbria with good travel links, including access to the main west coast train line, A66 route, the M6 motorway and the Carlisle-Settle railway line.   The Reverend Andrew Burrell is currently serving as Priest in Charge and is supported by Churchwardens and the Deanery Office Manager Sue Wigley, who is contactable for queries around baptisms, weddings and funerals.

It is part of the Heart of Westmorland Mission Community which covers the northern area of the Appleby Deanery, within the Diocese of Carlisle.
