Ormside, St. James is in the process of providing a mini-kitchen and accessible toilet facilities at the church.

For this, a water supply and drainage have been installed in the church and the former hearse house. Woodwork, plumbing and lime plastering are being done in the hearse house ready for the toilet, basin etc to be fixed. There will also be a baby change unit. The kitchen, enclosed within an oak cabinet, should be in place before the end of this year. There must also be a resin bound path round to the hearse house, matching the new one up to the church door.

We have received a large grant is towards all this work. We are extremely grateful to the National Churches Trust for awarding it to us on behalf of the Headley Trust
