The Parish of Tideswell in Derbyshire's Peak District

Welcome to the Parish (Benefice) of Tideswell in Derbyshire’s beautiful Peak District. It includes Tideswell itself, along with the villages of  Cressbrook, Litton, Miller’s Dale, Peak Dale and Wormhill. For information on services, clergy contact details, events and news, click/tap on the church you are interested in to go their home page. All are welcome to our churches, whether as pilgrims, tourists or worshippers. If you need help with arranging a baptism, wedding or funeral, contact us using the 'Get in Touch' page. Whether you are able to visit in person or only ‘virtually’, we hope you find time and space to meet with God here.

In 2023, our PCC affirmed this statement of inclusivity:

The Churches of Tideswell Parish welcome all, irrespective of age or ability, race or faith commitment, gender or sexuality.

We recognise that full inclusion is the goal of a journey and not accomplished all at once; but it is a journey we are committed to.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO via their dedicated mobile phone: 07623 756601 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor via the Derby Diocese website. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
