St Weonards Benefice

WELCOME to St Weonards benefice!

Thank you for visiting this website.  Whether you live locally, or are just planning a short trip to the area, you are very welcome!

Situated in a beautiful part of south-west Herefordshire, the benefice includes the parishes of Garway, Orcop, St Weonards, Tretire with Michaelchurch and Pencoyd, and Hentland and Hoarwithy.

In each of our parishes, you'll find church members actively supporting and caring for those around them, and contributing in many ways to the life of our local communities.

We offer a wide variety of services and styles of worship in our parish churches each month.  Some are led by clergy, others by lay leaders of worship and churchwardens – please refer to the service schedule for details.

We hope that the St Weonards benefice website will be helpful to you, whether you're planning a visit to one of our churches, want to talk to a member of clergy, or just discover more about the Christian faith.  But if you can't find what you're looking for, please do contact a member of clergy or one of our churchwardens.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Safeguarding

Our Parishes are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSOs). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the relevant PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, Mrs Mandy McPhee, on 07875 757396.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the Police on 101 or 999 and Herefordshire Council Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub – Children: 01432 260800 Adults: 01432 260715 (Emergency Duty Team – after 5 pm, weekends and Public Holidays – 0330 123 9309).
