On Saturday 27th June Louise Jones was ordained Deacon at Lichfield Cathedral. 

This was the last ordination service to be led by Bishop Michael before he retires in September. 

Louise, a Hixon resident, was accepted three years ago as an ordinand and has since been studying at Queen’s college Birmingham whilst doing parochial work in the parish of Berkswich. During her time there she has been mentored by Rev'd. Graham Adamson and the other clergy in the parish. Rev'd Louise is now embarking on her new career as a curate at Baschurch and Weston Lullingfield with Hordley, in Shropshire.
