Lucas spent some 16 weeks with us where he supported church services, baptism, breakfast services and conventional Sunday services, worked on a wide variety of heritage projects at our church in Sandon, in our graveyards clearing neglected graves and researching their history and suggested new ideas on how our churches could more effectively bridge the gap that exists between the wide age range and social status of the communities we serve.
He proved to be an incredibly enthusiastic young man that worked hard to achieve and exceed his goals, and has an exceptional ability to communicate with all ages. But don't take my word for it - he has written an account of his time with us that can be accessed by clicking on the Duke of Edinburgh Award tab on the left. Please do read it.
We thank him for his contribution and wish him every success for his future.
