St Mary's Prestwich

The ancient Parish Church of St Mary's Prestwich has been at the heart of Prestwich for something like 800 years. We are a member of the Inclusive Church Network, seeking to provide a welcome for absolutely everyone. We have a Sunday morning Holy Communion service at 10.30am each week, complete with choir and organ and beautiful Eucharistic liturgy. There are children's activities in the Tower Room and refreshments afterwards.

Pre-School Praise on Tuesdays at 10.00am in term-time, is church for babies, toddlers, parents and carers - a wonderful mix of action songs, interactive Bible stories, prayer, games and cake!

We are also growing other ways of praying, worshipping, thinking, meeting and encountering God. At the moment we have regular events like Connecting with God, Breathing Space, Spiritual Book Club and short study courses.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Kim Morgan-Jones [[email protected]] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [[email protected]].

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
