Rutland Water Benefice

We are a group of 10 parishes around the southern and eastern side of Rutland Water, with one Ministry Team, lead by Rev'd Pippa Madgwick. All parishes have beautiful medieval churches where we seek to worship God and grow the Christian community.

Forms for baptism and wedding etc are available via our Rutland Water Benefice website.

Each parish usually has a regular pattern of worship, all listed in the Rutland Water Benefice calendar

Our churches

Safeguarding

We want everyone to be assured that the churches of this Benefice are safe places to visit, to worship and to explore Christian faith. Our parishes have robust safeguarding policies.
If you have any concerns about safeguarding, please contact the Rector or the parish safeguarding officer, whose contact details are displayed in each church porch.

Our Parishes are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and the parishes have their own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises the PSOs.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact our Benefice PSO, Alison Woods (details displayed in the church porches) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, Carole Fitzsimons, [email protected], 01733 887040.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.

Various information and contact details are available at the Diocesan of Peterborough
