The Churches of Easington and Liverton

The churches of Easington and Liverton are situated in beautiful small villages along the northern edge of the Yorkshire Coast, between Whitby and Saltburn, and on the edge of the North York Moors.  The local landscape is infinitely varied, from gentle woodland, to rugged cliffs, moorland, farmland and coast.   The Cleveland Way walk passes through part of the Benefice, and there are  many other fascinating walks within the parishes.  Boulby Cliff, near Easington, was once the home of the Saxon Princess, and archaeological work continues on the site.

We are committed to becoming more Christlike by Living Christ's Story, and to reaching out to those less fortunate than ourselves to offer support and a listening ear.  The churches are small, but thriving and offer a warm welcome to all visitors of all faiths and none.  We very much look forward to meeting you!

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Laura or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Rob (07914 668907 or email [email protected]).
Our church officers have all attended safeguarding training, and take this issue very seriously. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with one of us if you need to talk.
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
