Fylingdales CofE School will hold their Christingle as part of the Lighting of Trees Service on Frisay 6th December at 2.00pm
There will be special guests and the service will preced the LLantern Procession down the bank to the LIghting of the big tree in the dock and the start of the Victorian Weekend.

As part of the Robin Hood's Bay Victorian Weekend the church will be open on Saturday 6th from 10.00-4.00 and Sunday 7th December from 11.00-4.00 with refreshments, stalls, games and chidren's activities.
At 2.00pm the Fylingdales Folk Choir will entertain.

As part of the Victorian Weekend celebrations the Fylingdales Folk Choir will be singing at St Stephen's Church.

As part of the village Victorian Weekend there will be a Victorian Holy Communion Service at St Stephen's.
Using the Book of Common Prayer and Victorian Hymns.

This service is on the second and third Wednesday and the fourth Wednesday when there is a five week month.

Fyling Hall School celebrate Christmas with their Carol Service

We recognise that Christmas is a difficult time for many people, missing those they love, being alone or ill, or suffering in other ways.
This will be a reflective service with music and readings specifically, but not entirely for those who find the Christmas season hard. All are welcome.

A service of Holy Communion on the third Sunday of every month

Come and hear the Christmas Story and place the figures in the crib. For all ages.

The First Communion of Christmas will be at St Stephen's on Christmas Day at 10.30am

No service at 10.00am.
At 3.00pm on Sunday 31st December we will celebrate with Holy Communion our Patron Saint, St Stephen, whose day fell on December 26th

There will be no service at St Stephen's as we will be joining Robin Hood's Bay Methodists at 10.30 am for their Covenant Service.

The Covenant Service, often celebrated on the first Sunday of the year, is at the heart of Methodists’ devotion and discipleship, and their dedication in working for social justice. In the service the Church joyfully celebrates God’s gracious offer to Israel that “I will be their God and they shall be my people”.
All are welcome to share in a Covenant Service. You will be welcome, whether you are sharing in a Covenant Service for the first time, have done it annually for many years, or simply want to watch what others do without taking part yourself. The service is a gift not a demand! And God will give you the grace to do it all. You are not alone!
This idea of Covenant was basic to John Wesley’s understanding of Christian discipleship. He saw the relationship with God in Covenant as being like a marriage between human beings (both as a community and as individuals) on the one side and God in Christ on the other (cf. Ephesians 5.21-33).

A service of reflection and prayer in the Celtic Tradition of Northummberland and Iona.
Followed by refreshments and discussion

We will celebrate the Epiphany and coming of the Kings with a short procession around the church.
Starting at the crib and placing the three kings there, we move to the door, where the the church will be blessed with the inscribing of 20+C+M+B+24 in chalk, before returning to the front where the Christmas Tree will be replaced by the cross.

An informal, reflective and prayerful service where the Eucharist is shared from neighbor to neighbour. The service is based on the worship of the Iona Community.

To celebrate Candlemas we use a liturgy of lighting candes and a reflection on Simeon and Anna
