It is with immense gratitude and thanks that we share this update of our current charity fundraising target for the ‘All Saints Church Thatched Roof Project’. With your generous support since 2021, we have raised £60,000 that is nearly 80% of the total project costs of £77,500. As we reflect on our journey so far, we invite you to join us to raise the final 20% of the funding required (£17,500) to complete the roof thatching for All Saints Church. Fundraising Targets. We now need to raise a further £17,500 so that the thatching work can happen and cover the architects and Health and Safety survey fees, associated with the thatched roof work. Progress to Date As of August 2025, we are delighted to announce that our fundraising efforts have reached £60,000. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the generosity of so many fundraising activities in Horsford Village, the kindness of online and cash donations, an interest free loan from St. Margaret’s Church in Felthorpe and the hard work and giving from the small congregation of All Saints Church in Horsford. All this has enabled us to: Buy the roofing thatch-reed, in advance of the prices going up, and to keep it in safe storage with the Thatcher’s until we can use it. But the journey is not over. We have an opportunity to have the roof thatched in late September/early October. A new thatched roof for All Saints Church Horsford, is now at last in sight!
