Harvest Festival

Occurring
for 3 hours
Venue
All Saints Church, Hethel
Address
Church Lane Hethel Norwich, NR14 8HE, United Kingdom

Gather with us to sing "We plough the fields and scatter" in the beautifully-decorated church and give thanks to God that we have enough to eat – in contrast to those in many parts of the world, Nepal being one among many. So the offering and lunch takings will all go to Tearfund's Harvest Appeal for Nepal. A simple but delicious harvest lunch follows at around 12.30: home-made soups, warm bread rolls, organic butter and cheeses (with vegan alternative), home-made chutney, jam and cake, fresh fruit from local gardens. It would be very helpful if you booked via https://bit.ly/hvst25 not least so that we know how many to cater for. You can pay a little or a lot for your lunch, as 'being generous' will differ according to your income (think "the widow's mite" - Mark 12:41–44). You don't have to come to both service and lunch (though it'd be nice!).

All Saints Church, Hethel

Hethel Church is off the beaten track, making it a quiet place of refreshment and beauty where God may be encountered. The church is open daily for peace, space and prayer. There are benches in the churchyard from where you can enjoy the wildlife churchyard, cut in August and growing back ready to burst with a succession of wildflowers from January onwards. In summer, the meditative trail is visible through the grass and posters for prayer and reflection are often installed when the grass and flowers have grown a bit.
