Competition: A story of two monks

You are invited to write a short, imaginative, amusing story concerning the two monks that have returned to Geldeston Church after a period of absence for restoration. 

There are two categories 

1) children under 14 years old and 

2) any one of 14 years and over. 

Your stories will be judged by author Lucy Lethbridge* 

The winning entrants will be published in Tidings magazine. Also the winners will receive a small prize and have a chance to meet Lucy. All entries to be emailed to [email protected] stating: your name, contact details and entry category. Please confirm the story is your all own work, and you are happy for it to be included in a forthcoming issue of Tidings. Entries to be no longer than 500 words, and can be illustrated. The decision of the judge will be final.

*Lucy Lethbridge is a journalist and an author of works about social history. Her most recent books are Servants: A Downstairs View of Twentieth Century Britain and Tourists: How the British Went Abroad to Find Themselves. She has also written several history books for children.
