About Us

Stockton is a very small rural parish in the south of the county of Norfolk.  The River Waveney forms the most notable geographical feature of the landscape and the broads are accessible both at Loddon and Beccles. Stockton Church is a member of The Round Towers Society.  On the tower is a small lead covered steeple.  The roof is thatched and was re-thatched in 2004 with the aid of an English Heritage grant.  The Vestry and East Window have both been renovated and restored in recent years.  The latest project was to install a water supply to the graveyard boundary, which was completed in August 2014.

We have a monthly Evening Prayer (Book of Common Prayer) service held at 5pm in the summer and at 3pm when the clocks change.  Every other month we hold a Book of Common Prayer Eucharist on a third Sunday, starting at 11.30am.   Readers are always welcome!
