Take your mind back to 1723 and the Café Zimmermann in Leipzig where coffee drinkers were sitting leisurely around tables listening to music by Bach and Telemann. On Sunday, 21st September at 3.30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Church, Great Ryburgh NR21 0EB the Ebb’ and Fluth Early Music Ensemble will seek to reimagine these concerts as they perform music by Telemann, Anne Heemskerk and Sylvia Kewish playing baroque flutes and Alistair Kewish the harpsichord. Entry is free but to avoid disappointment those wishing to attend should leave a message on 01328 829413 to book a place at a table for afternoon tea. There will be a Retiring Collection for the St. Andrew’s Restoration Fund. Details from the Churchwarden 01328 829413.
