Great Snoring Church

Welcome to St Mary's Church, Great Snoring.

Great Snoring lies amid the twisting, turning lost lanes and mystic fields of north Norfolk's heartlands, on the way to Walsingham. It now has the newly established Walsingham Way pilgrim route from Norwich running through it.

The church stands on a massive scale for a small village, but with a cool and calming interior.

The church is open daily to visitors and pilgrims.

See the 'Services and events' tab for more information.

Other churches in the benefice / group include Hindringham, Little Snoring, Thursford, Kettlestone with Pensthorpe, and Barney.

The parish of Great Snoring is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Norwich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
