Palm Sunday Service

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
Matlaske St Peter
Address
The Street Matlaske Norwich, NR11 7AQ, United Kingdom

We would love for you and your family to join us for a very special Palm Sunday celebration at Matlaske Church—the start of our journey through Holy Week together.

On Palm Sunday, we remember the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem and the crowds welcomed him with joy, waving palm branches and laying them at his feet. It’s a story full of excitement and hope, and we’ll be bringing it to life in a way that children and grown-ups can share together.

We will meet at the Barningham Hall Gates at 10:15am to begin our short procession to the church. Everyone is invited to carry a palm cross or branch as we walk, just like the crowds did long ago. It’s a lovely, simple way for children to be part of the story right from the very start.

Once we arrive at church, our uplifting and engaging family service will continue. There will be palms to hold, songs to sing, and a chance to reflect together as we begin this most important week in the Christian calendar. However you choose to join us—whether marching at the front of the procession or taking a quieter moment at the back—you will be very welcome.

A quick note for a safe and happy procession: As we will be walking together from Barnigham Gates to the church, we kindly ask that all dogs be kept on a short lead and that children remain closely supervised, particularly near the roadside. Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe as we make our way.

We can’t wait to see you there for this special start to Holy Week.

He is risen!

Join us on Easter Day for a joyful and uplifting service as we celebrate the heart of the Christian faith—the resurrection of Jesus. This is the most special and joyful day in our church calendar, and we would love for you and your family to be part of it.

Our service will be a wonderful opportunity for all ages to come together and share in the incredible story of Easter morning. We'll be exploring what it means that the tomb was found empty and that Jesus is alive, in ways that speak to both young and old. With activities especially planned for children, families are not just welcome—you are at the very heart of our celebration. There will be chances for little ones to engage with the story through craft, colouring, or simple activities, all while staying close to the main service.

Whether you are a regular visitor, returning to church after a long time, or simply curious about what Easter really means, you will find a warm welcome. Come and share in the joy, the hope, and the wonder of this most holy day. Together, we will discover that Easter is not just a story from long ago, but good news for us all, right here and right now. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

He is risen Indeed!
