Benefice Social and Fund Raising

Thursday 9th July - Prayer & Reflection at The Pavilion, Ditton Priors, 10.30am. Please do join us. This will last for roughly 1 hour. It is a time to come together to pray as a group into our mission and vision for the Benefice. It will also be a time to maybe reflect on a passage of scripture or some other reading or event that has spoken to us in a particular way. Everyone is most welcome. If you feel that you would like to take part please let either Revd Joe or Emma at The Benefice Office by any of the usual ways.

Saturday 18th July - 10.30am - 12,30pm at The Pavilion, Ditton Priors - DBS Safeguarding Session - For PCC Members.  Please contact either Charles Gill or Emma if you would like further information and to confirm your attendance.

Saturday 18th July - St. John the Baptist Sponsored walk, starting from the church at 11.00am

Saturday 18th July - Daddy's Hat will be playing at Aston Botterell Church "Seven in a Bar" at 3.00pm.  They would love to see you.  Donations will be given towards the restoration of the church organ.

Sunday 19th July - Chetton Heritage Motor Museum Open Day. Free entry but donations welcome.

Sunday 19th July 5.00pm - Songs of Praise and BBQ at Wheathill Church.  Please come along.  Last year was really lovely!

Saturday 1st August - First Saturday of the Month Coffee Morning, Bric a Brac and Book stall at St. John the Baptist, Ditton Priors 10.30am - 12.30pm

Sunday 2nd August - Aston Botterell Treasure Hunt, starting from Middle House Farm, Aston Botterell at 1.00pm.  £10 entry per person to include light refreshments.  There will be a raffle.  Always a really fun afternoon. A great way to see the local countryside and find out some very interesting facts!

Thursday 6th August - Burwarton Show - 8.30am onwards. Come along to the Village Green where there will the opportunity to purchase delicious refreshments to set you up for the day, throughout the day or just whenever you choose!  See just what is happening in your area by looking at our display boards and come and chat to Revd Joe who is looking forward to meeting you.

Saturday 20th August - St. John the Baptist Teas in the Churchyard starting at 3.00pm

Saturday 5th September - First Saturday of the Month Coffee Morning, Bric a Brac and Book stall at St. John the Baptist, Ditton Priors 10.30am - 12.30pm

Saturday 12th September - Shropshire Historic Churches Trust Ride & Stride.  Further details to follow but a wonderful way to visit churches in our Benefice and throughout Shropshire whilst supporting this wonderful charity who has and continues to financially support many of our parishes for which we are most grateful.

Saturday 7th November - First Saturday of the Month Coffee Morning, Bric a Brac and Book stall at St. John the Baptist Church, Ditton Priors, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Saturday 21st November - St. John the Baptist Christmas Fair at The Pavilion, starting at 10.30am

Thursday 26th November - The Switching of the Christmas Lights at St. John the Baptist, Ditton Priors, 6.30pm

Saturday 5th December - First Saturday of the Month Coffee Morning, Bric a Brac and Book stall at St. John the Baptist Church, Ditton Priors, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Sunday 6th December - Christingle Service at St. John the Baptist Church, Ditton Priors at 4.00pm

Sunday 20th December - Aston Botterell Illuminated Carol Service at Aston Botterell Church starting at 5.00pm.  Always a very popular Service with a very special guest!  Further details to follow nearer the time.
