On Sunday 9th November at 11.15 there was a well-attended service of Holy Communion in St Mary's led by Revd Linda Watson. This was preceded by an Act of Remembrance in church, including the 2 minute's silence. The traditional readings were read by some PCC members: Sue Fairclough, David Fenlon and Tracey Jones. On Remembrance day itself we will have a service outside the church in front of the village War memorial to mark the 11th hour of the 11th day. The service will begin at 10.55 and will be led by Reader Jenny White. The children and staff of Bucknell primary school will take part by laying wooden crosses, one for each of the servicemen from our parish who were killed in the World wars. All are welcome to attend this important service.

Unfortunately, there will be no service in St Mary's church, Bucknell on Easter Sunder this year, due to an insufficient availability of priests. Instead, there are services taking place at various times in our sister churches in the Middle Marches benefice. Hopton Castle church will offer Holy Communion with Rev John Daniels starting at 9.30. Clungunford church will have Holy Communion with Rev Linda Watson at 10am, and there will also be a service of Holy Communion in Chapel lawn church starting at 11.15 led by Rev John Daniels.
